Annette Carruthers

Experienced non-executive director in financial services and infrastructure, health and aged care, Annette’s qualifications are MBBS (Hons), FRACGP, FAICD, GradDipAppFin.

Current directorships include ASX listed nib Holdings, the NSW Board of the
Medical Board of Australia, the Hunter Infrastructure and Investment Advisory Board and Hunter Medicare Local.

Previously director of Aged Care Investment Services (a Trustee Company for AMP Capital managed investments in residential aged care), Heart Foundation (National and NSW Division) and Hunter Area Health Service.

Medically trained, Annette’s interest in governance developed during early roles on boards representing her profession. This has ultimately led to participation in the IPO of nib Holdings, financial qualifications and a special interest in audit and risk management. She currently chairs the Risk and Reputation Committee of nib. In addition to financial expertise, her knowledge of health and disability would add value to a superannuation board.
